I returned from a long hiatus, and said Hi to you people, in this very thread.

This is all very meta, isn't it?

Oh yeah, and I turn 17 tomorrow. So...yeah.

Anyway, hello, all you beautiful people!

I literally bought Jedi Academy on Steam like a week ago. -_-

I hate my life.

But I bet this is big for the modders...

Mereel! You're a prophet!

Staff were involved (*informed) of the shutdown this morning, according to a reliable Kotaku source. Some 150 people were laid off, and both of the studio's current projects--Star Wars: First Assault and Star Wars 1313--were cancelled.

This comes after weeks and months of rumors involving the studio, which was acquired by Disney last fall.

Alright, well, I considered everyone's advice, and managed to cough up about $1700 for the whole shebang, peripherals, monitors, and the big daddy. Or HAL-9001, as I'm dubbing it.

Soo...yeah. The case, processor, motherboard, and power supply arrived, and I went nuts. The case is BEAST. The motherboard is HUGE, and I'm REALLY excited to get the rest of the stuff in.

Thank you, everyone, for your input! I really appreciate it, and I'll post pictures of the rig when it's assembled!

I like big walls of text. :D

This was exactly what I was looking for...and I'm sorta relieved to hear a price of $700 thrown around. That's fantastic.

Alright, well I will take a look at those links (when I'm not on my phone lol)!

Also, I had someone mention Alienware when I first started asking around. Needless to say, they suck. :P

I'm starting fresh. I want a gaming computer. I don't really care what it costs, I just want a computer that could maaaaybe run Crysis 3 at a decent framerate.

So, what would you guys suggest for graphics cards, cases, motherboards, all that jazz?

Take from this what you will...

As we enter into an exciting new era focused on the next Star Wars trilogy, Lucasfilm has decided to pursue a new direction in animated programming. We are exploring a whole new Star Wars series set in a time period previously untouched in Star Wars films or television programming. You can expect more details in the months to come.

As part of this shift, we have also made some key decisions affecting Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Detours.

After five highly successful and critically acclaimed seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, we feel the time has come to wind down the series. While the studio is no longer producing new episodes for Cartoon Network, we're continuing production on new Clone Wars story arcs that promise to be some of the most thrilling adventures ever seen. Stay tuned for more information on where fans can soon find this bonus content. In the video below, Supervising Director Dave Filoni offers a peek of what is to come in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

At Star Wars Celebration VI last year, George Lucas gave fans a glimpse at the animated comedy series Star Wars Detours from Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, and Todd Grimes. Detours was conceived and produced before we decided to move forward with the new Star Wars trilogy, and in the wake of that decision, Lucasfilm has reconsidered whether launching an animated comedy prior to the launch of Episode VII makes sense. As a result, we've decided to postpone the release of Detours until a later date.

We are incredibly proud of the teams at Lucasfilm Animation for creating some of the most amazing animation ever produced for TV. Keep checking for new developments on these and future projects.
There's also a video with Filoni explaining the above, and a teaser from one of the episodes to come, which is quite interesting.
Also, trial? Also, the cinematography is phenomenal.
So much awesome in that second episode.
Ahsoka got set up, boy! By whom? Also 1313.
That Young Justice episode messed with my mind though. Holy frak was that confusing.

I've been playing a lot of Garry's Mod recently, and I got the bright idea to go around as Seananners and troll for reactions. This happened.

lol. The reactions on a Trouble in Terrorist Town server were HILARIOUS. Ahahahaha.

Anyway...yeah, Garry's Mod, Mass Effect, Binding of Isaac, Deus Ex, CS:GO, CS:S, Portal 2, and all that jazz. Fun times.

All I can say is "Holy frak, that was awesome."

I'm already thinking how they tie this canon in to existing canon. Bo-Katan being the "New True Mandos", and ushering in the Traviss Mandalorians we know.
The Maul-Viszla fight was bad-shebs, and just the little details made me smile. Like Bo-Katan helping those kids up. Even if it was part of the act, it was still kinda amazing.
I'd say it more than makes up for the droid arc.

I hope it's not on Tatooine, because that's double the lens flares.
I liked the gist of the pep talk. Only problem is that he's talking TO DROIDS. DROIDS.

The thing with the wreckage flying into the station was oddly intense. I was just a tad worried for R2, even though the almighty plot shield was still in effect.
Speaking of, that's my main beef with this whole series. There's been no danger to any of the main characters besides Ahsoka, and because they're too concerned about ratings and demographics to kill her off, there's still no danger to her! The only characters they've killed off are the characters all the bonafide fans love in this show: the clones. It's getting absurd. But then again, the whole thought process behind multiple soap opera arcs expecting to pull the same ratings is absurd.
This arc especially gave us some really cool moments. Gregor...and...well, just Gregor, but my point remains. Cool things, even in the worst arcs ever.
The saddest part about all this to me is that they DO pull the same, if not more ratings.
Honest appeal here: can I see the phase 2 clones in action? Please? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaase? Please? No? More soap opera? Okay. I'd say I'd quit watching, but we all know that it's not going to happen.

Hmmm...or, maybe Dave's screwing with the canon again?

Either way, small trifles. I loved this episode, and I hope we can see a whole squad of commandos someday.
