I still don't have XBL yet (I'm hoping to get it over the summer when I can finally
get myself an Xbox 360), but I have some news which is just truly amazing.
I know there are a few Red vs Blue fans here, but I don't know how many read the staff blog. Those who do would have seen, as I have that 2 of the staff there had a bet as to whether or not one of them could get 1000 gamerpoints in thee space of a week. They were a little drunk when the bet was made, but they still went through with it. The bet itself was to see if Geoff (who plays Grif in the series) could score the points, with Burnie (who plays Church and Lopez in the series) believing he couldn't. Geoff was aiming for 9000 gamerpoints, with Burnie paying Geoff a dollar for every point he scored above it up until 10,000, and Geoff paying Burnie a dollar for every point under it until 8000, so in other words either of them would be a maximum of $1000 richer. The original announcement is here.
The bet started on Boxing day (26th December), with Geoff starting on 44,887 gamerpoints, and was supposed to last a week. Supposed to. Yesterday he reached the 10,000 gamerpoint target
. He did it by getting all the easy achievements ina variety of games, which was slightly harder then normal as he was using his existing account so had many unlocked already.
