in my charecters backstory he started with a YT-1100 a REAL old correlian freighter, then when he comes out of stasis at the begining of the vong war he flys a heavily armoured noboo starcruiser sports some serious military cannons...and a drab grey paint job....he's not a big fan of chrome

later in his life he stumbles upon a venator that was lost during the clone wars....it was never found, according to its logs, it had been under heavy fire from several seperatist vessels, they destroyed the docking bays, the comms system and the hyperdrive was damaged but workable, so they jumed away, only for the hyperdrive to give out half way, exploding and taking the sublight drives with it, with no ships to use to escape the ship, no comms and no engines, they set about repaining the ship, but failed, eventually the stores ran dry, life support ran out of juice, and the crew died....he marks the coordinates and returns with a repair crew which consisted of his entire clan and a LOT of spare parts they had scavenged and even stole from imp shipyards and fixed it up, making it the biggest ship the mand'alor boba fetts new fleet :P

there...didnt have to kill the entire crew...anture did it for me :P

Skipray Blastboat, no contest.  I love that thing.  Specifically the Skipray 24r Blastboat, which was a newer model which turned the blastboat into even more of a beast, if that's possible.  I mean honestly, when you have a shuttle-sized ship being classified as a capital ship, you know that you've got something worth keeping.  It's got the snazzy appearance, insane weaponry and defensive systems, and crew/passenger quarters to fit a Mandalorian.

How is it classified as a capital ship? According to wookiepedia its only 25 meters long.

Never mind.

I'd also like to revise the picture/ship i choose/used to this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Rdropship.jpg

Again heavily modified.

This is something that has always bothered me too. It's smaller then a Lambda, and half the size of the Falcon (whose given length is 50 or so meters?) and yet allegedly has all those weapons, engines, shields, life support, and small cabins for the crew. Just seems a bit much to be crammed into the ship.

It's well balanced in XWA though - slower and heavier - it handles about the same as a Y-Wing, so a fast fighter has no trouble dealing with it at all. However, it's worth noting that XWA does not properly simulate the top turret. And anyone whose flown against an Escort Shuttle knows how much damage one well placed turret can do...

Personally, I'd be in an E-Wing. Fast as an A-Wing, armed like a B-Wing, hefty as an X-Wing. Pinnacle of Republic Starfighter designs, if you ask me.

Lately I've come to develop an appreciation for the StealthX but the limitations provided for there don't sit well with me, and I'd rather be seen and have the power to hit hard then be limited to a StealthX.

That being said, I do need to pick up a ship for my KOTOR Era RPG character, and he might end up with a Hammerhead cruiser, since they recently liberated one that had been taken by Sith-backed Pirates and he and his squad need a base of operations.

What I really want to get him is the ship seen here. I ginned up a deckplan (Still have!) and a 3D model of it (which is busted now that I'm on a 64-bit system). My schematics for the ship show it carrying a squad of Rocket Troopers into battle with a bottom based door for deployment, three turrets for fire support and a tactical command center for coordinating ground based actions for the squad. Came out very nice - basically it was a ship that could carry a squad into battle and then provide on scene support and command and control duties for the squad. Best map I ever did for my mini's and my RPG, but I haven't had a good chance to use it yet.

I think I too have to go with a Sith Infiltrator.  Just something about it looks very smooth and slick.  Plain Badass!

a courier is possibly the second most useless ship for combat in the galaxy... outclassed only by something like a PPB

Personally, I like Grievous's "Souless One", a modified Belbullab-22 starfighter. (I can't figure out how to attach a piture)
- It looks like an old Monte Carlo with a huge hood and fenders - freakin' sweet.
I'd have to modify it and add an extra seat for cruising with a Twi-lek honey; or better yet, I'll have the Gella twins in the back, Guri riding shotgun, and Callista Ming playing in the radio. - hah !

disturbing... but the P-38 is a very good fighter, IMHO... balanced, reasonably fast, tough to kill, and good firepower. Not quite up to Mandalorian standards, but decent nonetheless
