Haha. I think I just found the name for my squad's training sergeant.  ;)

As for the Mando drinking song, anytime "insert", "into", and "shebs" are in the same line, it can't be too polite.   My first response was that I was reading it way wrong...but there aren't too many other ways you can take that.

Something just occured to me. "Kote" is listed as being plural, a la "glories". So would it be Dralkot, then?

Oooh. *is apparently more blond than she thought* I didn't even think about that.

Hah. Well, it's not like we've ever seen it used in the singular sense.

My Mando'a name would be "Parjai" because my name means "victory of the people" and I have problems translating it further.

Try this, vod...

Victory: Parjai
Of: be
The: unnecessary, Mandos don't use it(mostly)
People: Droten

Parjai be droten.

...Par'droten? Parjai'ten?

Glad to help, Dar, and vor'e, 89.

Parjai'ten has one lovely pronounciation to it, that it does.

Hah, lucky fellows you all are.

I'm frankly not comfortable with my name, I'm either a gift of god in one language, or a demon in the other.

Actually, it's demon in five or seven different languages... Or a weapon or patch of thorns in a half dozen others.

Apparently I don't translate well.

Pity there's no word for 'esoteric' in Mando'a.

Esoteric means 'not easily understood'.

I love the fact that the word esoteric, is itself, esoteric.

I'm a big fan of irony.

You have just supplied my word of the month, ner vod. ;) Last month was "pathetic" and that got depressing after a while...

Esoteric, or irony? Because I'm a big fan of both.

But I like being me, because even my name is a challenge to most Mando.

Feel free to try and gimmie something close, as I know there are some of you who are damn near fluent in Mando'a.

Hmm... That's really... esoteric. :D

Hah. Well, it's not like we've ever seen it used in the singular sense.
If I remember correctly, kot is the singular and it means "strength" in Mando'a. So "glory" is really equivalent to "strengths" or "more than one strength"... which makes a certain amount of sense when you think about Mandalorians. :) (Glory meaning: Great honor, praise, or distinction; Something conferring honor or renown; A height of achievement, enjoyment, or prosperity.)

Esoteric. I already knew ironic, ner vod. ;) It's been my life lately, or so it seems.

Forgive me if I'm taking liberties here, but could "misunderstood" be a synonym for esoteric? I could work with that in Mando'a. Or you could choose whatever meaning you like for your real name.

Ah, go ahead an take liberties, ner vod. You're the one doing me the favor, after all.

*Glances over his meager collection of Mando'a.* Huh, ori means 'extremely' or 'very'... Compound word time. *Chuckles.*
