Yep, and I'm using that 5 hours to bring joy to all of you here.  The Hammerhead release date has literally just been announced in the past few hours.  It will come with a Firewalker mission pack in late March.

Beat the game last night!  The Mass Effect series is now officially the best games I've ever played.  I said it already about the first one, but now the series proved itself as a whole.  I need number three already!

I kinda screwed up the first time I played the suicide mission, tho.  The whole game I kept reminding myself to upgrade the ship, upgrade the ship, upgrade the ship!  I'd read the spoilers about nasty ship blow-upness and people dying, so I knew I had to get all the upgrades.  So tell me why I went through the O4 relay without upgrading? dead If you've never done that, lemme tell you guys, it's pretty...grim.  Not fun.  So I obviously reloaded.  And lost Mordin the second time.  That was kinda sad.  "Sorry, Shepard.  Tell them...I held the line."  Who am I kidding, that was really sad! really sad

ME 2 is now my all-time favourite RPG, with ME 1 and Fable II being very close together in second and third (so close, I can't even decide which is which!).  I'm now nearing the end of my 3rd playthrough.  I've done all the main missions and all the loyalty missions, and a couple of N7 missions.  I'm also at level 29 already (thanks to the bonus EXP I got from importing a save) and am more interested in scanning planets for resources to get upgrades (and this is where the guide really comes in handy as I can just go to a system and work out which planets are rich in the resources I need) then doing the missions.  I've also been talking to the characters a lot more and found out some interesting things about them.

Like how Thane met his wife (that is a pretty strange story), and what Legion says the Geth see themselves as doing on the Quarian homeworld (which he also names!).

So far, as I've got and kept everyone's loyalty, I hope that this time to keep everyone alive in the loyalty mission.

I know exactly what you mean. I was on my 3rd play through and I completely forgot to upgrade the ship before going in.

Garrus: KIA

Thane: KIA

Jack: KIA

Then after that I just said whats the point and stopped trying then this happened:

Grunt: KIA

Mordin: KIA

Jacob: KIA

Tali: KIA

Legion: Not Present

Drake will confirm the story...

I would also like to say its my favorite RPG of all time, right beside The Witcher (if you are 18+ you need to try it), Fallout 3 (cmmon, everybody likes it, even if they arent RPG or shooter fans), Dragon Age (American take on the European Witcher formula, that has quite a few suprises)  and of course... ME1.

With out a doubt its my fav RPG. Just the emotional story that gets me all the time. I beat my second playthrough the other day, losing Jack,Thane and Jacob this time. I do get a bit sad when certian people die, like thane i was sad to see go. Jack, not so much or Jacob.

Just completed my 3rd playthrough and finally got the achievement for having everyone survive the suicide mission.  I did, however, loose the crew as I spent time upgrading and doing loyalty missions, etc, once I got the Reaper IFF.  It looks like that needs to be one of the last things you do if you want the crew to survive.

Yea, you have to leave the Reaper IFF mission and Legion's localty mission for last so you have nothing else to do after the crew gets taken.

I would report on whether or not it is, but at the moment I'm doing a ME1 engineer playthrough (although it definitely is not as fun as in ME2 due to the lack of the combat drone in the first one).  Interestingly, I just found a new connection between both ME games.  I'm in the Human embassy on the Presidium and I decided to talk to Wrex.  I expected him to comment on what he though of all the species mixing together peacefully or something else like that.  Instead, he went "I feel like a snack.  Got any fish in that lake?"

I finally managed to pick up a copy of Mass Effect myself. Haven't beaten it yet but I still have to say that so far, this is the best RPG I've ever played. I haven't played that many though. The Kotor Games, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Morrowind and Oblivion.
