OOC: this will probably seem more of a fanfic by the time I'm done, but it should give a nice back-story to my character and the Quarian mission.
Time: Present day
Location: Quarian Migrant ship Tuuri, orbiting an uncharted world.
Cody'Rama walked through the ship with his datapad, scanning its content as he went. The chief engineer wanted an check of the spare parts they had, and as his assistant it was up to Cody to find out. Before leaving the Flotilla they took on extra supplies to support them on their extended journey, taking on more once they reached the Citadel, their original destination.
That is when the plan had changed. New information came about, and the Captain took the decision to check out this information. Now, a fuel line had ruptured and while it had been repaired, the Chief Engineer wasn't happy the repairs would remain in place. It was a long walk each way through the twisting maze of corridors that made up a Quarian ship, and it gave Cody time to think. His visit to the Citadel was still fresh in his mind.
Time: 5 days ago
C-Sec had spent close to a day and a half checking out the entire crew of the Tuuri since it had docked. This was standard procedure, as most people didn't trust Quarians. For most of the crew, a full list of checks had to be run, however Cody got off easy as the officer who was assigned to clear him was a Turian Cody had met during his
pilgrimage on the Turian homeworld. This also allowed Cody to persuade the officer to try and get food donations for the Quarians to take back to the Flotilla.
Once everyone was cleared, they were finally free to leave the ship. Cody and his partner started off by looking around the Wards by the C-Sec academy, where they had to go through coming from the ship. After a day browsing the markets they headed off to a local bar named Flux. They took a seat by the window, and soon a Volus came over to speak to them.
"Greetings, clan-less. We don't get many of your kind here. I'm Doran, owner of this club."
"Nice to meet you, Doran. I'm Cody'Rama vas Tuuri and this is my wife Seel'Zhan vas Tuuri. Our ship is here on a supply run, and we thought we'd drop in to rest our feet for a bit."
"I see. Well, we have a fine selection of Turian drinks for you, they're all here on this menu."
After ordering drinks, the three continued talking for a while. They talked about various things, from each others races to music. Eventually, Doran came out with something that took Cody off guard.
"So, I presume the Migrant Fleet is preparing a strike force to get those Geth supposedly threatening the Asari homeworld."
"I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean."
"Oh, I see. If you watch the news reports later, I'm sure you will see the full story. From what I understand it, someone leaked information to the media about a Geth force preparing to attack the Asari homeworld. Several merchant ships have reported Geth sightings, and a couple have even been attacked."
"Keelah, we weren't aware of this. Our ship was only to come here to pick up some of the harder to get items we need for the flotilla. The Captain needs to hear this when we return."
"I'm surprised you clan-less didn't hear this sooner. Do you think you will you be able to reach the fleet in-time to warn them?"
"I doubt it, they're in the Terminus systems right now. We're much closer and would be better suited to respond, but even then we don't have many Marines on-board. Even if we were to go there, I'm not sure how effective we'd be. Keelah, this is such a shock. I would love to sit and chat with you more, Doran, but this is something that needs addressing immediately. Thank you for your service, and I'll be sure to recommend this place to the rest of the fleet."
"You're always welcome here, clan-less. I hope to see more of your kind here in the future. It's been a pleasure talking with you."
Once the bill had been paid, Cody and his wife quickly left to head back to the ship. Cody used his Omni-tool to check the Captain was onboard, and once they reached the ship they headed straight for the Captains quarters where he was staying. They told him of the conversation in Flux, and soon senior members of the crew were called up to the bridge to discuss what would happen next. They decided that rather then try to contact the Flotilla and wait to see if a Marine task-force would be sent, the Tuuri would go instead and provide any assistance for the Council forces that would no doubt be on-scene.
