These games are two completely different genres, two completely different timelines, and two completely different stories. To compare them is really silly; both of them were great games in their own right.

Pinnaples and Bannanas.

Drake is flamboyant, and may go over the top, but if he were not that extrovert then who would move things along?

^Pretty much.

Still voted RepCom, tho. :P

Hmmm over all i had fun playing both, however Kotor had a lot of Modding fun too. and i like playing RC online.

Now a better question would be...do you prefer Kotor era Mando's or modern day mando's?

An even better question would be: What do you prefer a Star Wars shooter or a Star Wars RPG?

I don't see why one can't have both... just make it so you have direct, complete control over your character's combat in an RPG and you're golden!

Sounds like mass effect... (KOTOR without the pause mode)

Modern, definitely.

Sounds like mass effect... (KOTOR without the pause mode)
^Win!

If they could make a good Star Wars game with the same game style as Mass Effect, that would be the best thing ever.

A Star Wars Fallout 3.

The genres are too dissimilar to choose objectively, but personally I'm more likely to reach for RepCom than KotOR when I feel like playing something.  But if they were to make a Star Wars RPG shooter along the lines of Mass Effect, I absolutely agree with Mia that it would be pure gold.

As to the question of KotOR-era Mandos or the more "modern"-era, I would have to go with the "modern"-era for the increased armor variety and the independent mercenary feel of the times.

I prefer modern Mandos, the KoTOR ones just kinda threw every value but honor out the window.
An FPS/RPG mix would be great though.....
