Operation: Sandtrap
« on: December 09, 2010, 11:49:05 PM »
The year is 2013.

Congo warlords have captured members of the cabinet on-route from South Africa to Egypt as part of a Trade and Defense delegation., in particular the head of the Department of Defense and the head of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Six other aids were also captured. The security detail was executed by the warlord's militia. The warlords have demanded that in six hours that a ransom of 100,000,000 US dollars be delivered. US Marines, with a SEAL support team, in the area on humanitarian aid missions have been called in to extract the officials from the enemy camp in Longongo.

OOC:

This will be a hyper-realistic RPG. Sean will be presiding over the "realness". Look in on your posts before you respond, as Sean will be using his mod powers to underlines the parts in your posts that don't make sense and will explain in parenthesis why it is wrong.

Drake is flamboyant, and may go over the top, but if he were not that extrovert then who would move things along?

I'm loving the Sean-watchdog part already, and it hasn't even begun.

Gentlemen, this is Warrant Officer MacPherson. My callsign is Palerider. I'll be your contact in the Combat Operations Center, also known as the COC. We've got a variety tools at our disposal. Keep in mind the modern battlefield is a 360 degree enviroment. Keep your head on a swivel. Palerider out.
The  purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in
defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more
important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

Drake and I agreed on something. Somebody get the camera out to capture the moment.

OOC: I edited the scenery a bit. Scratch out the PSK.1 from your memory. Um, so you'll be the eye in the sky for us, right? Directing assets and such?

Also, any team/squad leaders will be using point target weapons M4, M203, M16A4.....Not SAWs. Just not the way we do things. Since we're talking a line platoon everyone will be 0311.

OCC:Rgr, Question as for attachments on weapons is their a request form or something for them? Or do you just try to get to the Quartermaster/Gunny first?

OOC: You confused what I said. It's possible that a SAW gunner will be a Cpl. NOT a squad leader or team leader though. Leaders can't be laying down suppression and trying to direct the fires of their team squad platoon etc...

What attachments do you speak of and why? You'll get a surefire light, foregrip, and laser. No supressors.

N-11
As you say you will be the SEAL platoon cmdr will you be in the COC with me? Or are you confused and you don't want to be the plt cmdr.
