We're(the FB Brothers All group) toying with doing a hoodie or tshirt.

What's your thought???
The  purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in
defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more
important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

Drake and I agreed on something. Somebody get the camera out to capture the moment.

I think that would be awesome, except... No one around my town knows anything about us/forums. Although there is a little shirt/clothing design place in my town..

Sweeeet!  That's exactly what I was talking about, Mereel! :D
"To say nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic."

Very cool!  Those look great, especially the Boss one.  I'd definitely lighten my wallet if I saw that at the store.

I'm really liking the gray one. Maybe a BA logo on one of the sleeves would look cool.

Here is my idea for a hoodie:

Not sure yet what to put on the back, or if it should jest be left blank.

The only concern I have with that is going to be where you would get that done and keep it an affordable price. :/

The designs I posted I did on CustomInk.com and it was about 20.50 as is (add maybe another dollar or so for wording) for ONE shirt.   the price would go down depending on how many we would buy.

The most expensive part about making custom clothing is always getting the templates setup with whichever company you choose.  Looking at a couple of sites it looks like the UK is around 10 ($16) for a hoodie or slightly more (roughly around what Mereel quoted) for t-shirts, and that's without postage.  Of course though, as Mereel said, if you buy in bulk the price does come down slightly.

Maybe you should start a donation fund? And the top ten donaters get a free shirt and hoodie. How bout it? It's crazy, I know, but it might work.

Or everyone pays in advance. A donation drive requires a place to donate to.

These companies tend to take the price of setting up the templates from the early purchases automatically so there is no real point making donations other then trying to subsidise the cost for us members.

Hmmm... OK pay in advance, then. Maybe just to get the initial template set up. Or whatever. I'm not into this sort of thing yet (C'mon. I'm only 13)

We'll deal with that when the time comes.   We still need to get the ok from Amy, pick the type of clothing we want to do (TEE SHIRT!),  iron out the design,  then we have to pick a company to make them, THEN we can figure out the Payment plans....

Its starting to look like my idea may have been a little ambitious as the printing these companies do is unable to go over seams, so it looks like arm stripe and shoulder pads are out of the question unless applied manually.  As for the front design, the only company I've seen that will allow coverage large enough to get the Orange stripe high enough on the right shoulder is quoting 21.60 (around $35) just for the front, and I guess it would be around an extra 3 or 4 if we want to add anything to the back (although that was for just 1 copy so it may be less if we get multiple orders).  I'm still in favour of a hoodie myself (as I tend to wear 2 layers outside on all but the absolute hottest of days), however I would probably go for a t-shirt as well if that is what the majority want.

I say we base something around a general commando look... the pic at the top of the forum page. No colors, just commandos.

Personally I think it'd be easiest for us to just decide on a design and then make our own.

It may be easier to make our own, but it will also likely be more expensive.  These places charge extra on the first order for the cost of setting up the template, so you may end up paying twice as much as if we settled on one place and all used that.

But you don't have to have a high quality if you don't want to. It's just a thought. It would be easier but more expensive, that's true.

I think its going to be expensive no matter what you do.

I personally think Customink is the best way to go.   I've done a few shirts through them, they are decent as far as price goes and the quality has never been an issue.   They take any design that you want (like say the one I made) and they give it to real artists who look it over and modify it if its needed to make it look the best it can on a shirt.

With that being said... I think what we really need to do is to make a design or two that we can all agree on.

Will anyone accept the challenge to make a design?

Before you get all worried about criticism... Every design will be considered and no design will be mocked. I hope that I have the Mods help with this promise I've given.

I saw the other day one of my hoodies getting a bit faded so I began thinking about this again, and ended up after work playing around with ideas for RC ones based on my previous suggestion here.  I'm thinking about making one, maybe two of them by hand with an estimated cost of around 30 ($47.50) for each one (although be aware I'm not planning to make any just yet, probably when I go back to university (when I'll have some money to spend on this) and the weather gets colder meaning I'll be needing a new hoodie).

This is just a first draft so I could change them later on (Sev's one especially I'd probably re-do, although that would more likely be when actually making it rather then trying to get a concept looking good).
