While Nophes was resting she wondered if this Rosenda 344 was the one that killed Jorrain. She did sound a lot like her, but she hadn’t taken her helmet off yet. Not even while she was sleeping. Well guess we’ll find out sooner or later.
Rosenda wondered if this was a trick. After all this Elite was kind of staring at her a few hours ago. Oh well, better get some rest. She thought to herself.
Nophes quietly slipped out of camp, and grabbed her comlink.
“General I have some news for you.”
“Ahhhh, Nophes, I thought I fired you.”
“No sir, I quit. Anyway I have some news for you.”
“What is it? Tell me now, that’s an order!”
“Wait if I tell you, you have to rehire me, and give me a promotion.”
“Deal, now what is it?” the General asked. “The UNSC forces, their here on Vall-”
“Well, well, well, what do we have here?” Rosenda said while shooting the comlink out of Nophes’s hand.
“Rosenda, your helmet is off.”
“Yeah, so what?” Rosenda said confused.
“You were the one that killed Jorrain!”
“Who?” Rosenda asked.
“That Elite Spec-Ops, you killed on the slimy planet you call earth.”
“Oh him? That idiot deserved to die.”
Just then Nophes jumped at Rosenda, Energy sword in hand. Rosenda parried the first blow, then the second, and just barely the third.
“You are a traitor you FAT PIG!” Rosenda shouted.
“You will pay for that you little PEST!” Nophes returned.
“Men, grab your weapons, were under attack!” Rosenda cried.
“Yes ma’am.” Major O’Dollen replied.
As the troopers were grabbing there weapons Rosenda got hit by an overcharged plasma pistol shot. Rosenda fell to the ground immediately.
“Take that you worm.” Nophes said disgustedly. “Now, for these weaklings.”
“Stay back!” shouted Pvt. Loran.
Nophes charged at the squad with her energy sword. She knocked over Corporal Baling, then Major O’Dollen. She swung and hit Cpt. Brown, killing him immediately. As she was about to kill Pvt.Loran, a large shot gun shell went through her chest, then another through her leg.
“Take that, you old hag,” Rosenda said.
“Commander Rosenda, are you allright?” asked Corporal Baling standing up.
“I’m fine, thanks.” Rosenda replied.
“Did we lose any?” asked Pvt.Loran.
“Just one, Cpt.Brown.” said Major O’Dollen looking down at Brown’s dead body.
“Bury him and let’s move on.” Rosenda ordered.
“Yes Ma’am!” they all shouted.
Rosenda was walking ahead, when she looked down at Nophes’s dead body. What a disgusting creature. She thought, and then moved on.
