Monosyllable posts annoy me. I can't quite say how monocharacter posts make me feel.

Drake is flamboyant, and may go over the top, but if he were not that extrovert then who would move things along?

That looks epic. Also, was that young female soldier Susan from Chronicles of Narnia?

I watched it earlier on and its actually pretty good.  It seemed to set up the characters well and I also understand now why its called "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn".

Its a 5 part series, the first instalment is 25 minutes long and its available online (if you don't want to watch it on your Xbox via Halo: Waypoint, like I did):

Loved it.

Annoyed at the main character and his beef with the 'senseless violence' bit. That just makes him seem like an idiot. I think they could have chose a better place to forge character growth than that.

Otherwise, thought it was awesome. Can't wait for more.

I thought this really kinda tied in why his character thinks the way he does.

Ok, so he doesn't think he can kill another human being. Completely understandable.

But if he calls the Insurrectionists 'innocent civilians', he's just a fool. They're terrorists. They blow up innocent civilians. If you don't want to kill them, that's ok. But don't call them innocent. If they wanted to solve their problems peacefully, they wouldn't be killing civilians. Plain and simple.

I definitely see why they chose this as a place for character development, because the obvious answer to his killing problem is not to join the military. He has the extreme pressure from his family to join and perform accordingly, but he doesn't think he could ever kill anyone, and doesn't want to be there.

Good conflict, I'm just a personality type that gets very grated by willful ignorance and stupidity.

Double post, just because it's completely unrelated to my last one.

Here's a vid showing off some of the Forge for Halo 4:

http://kotaku.com/5950361/making-gorgeous-maps-in-halo-4s-forge-mode?fb_action_ids=10151236422002559&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%7B%2210151236422002559%22%3A540024489357748%7D&action_type_map=%7B%2210151236422002559%22%3A%22og.likes%22%7D&action_ref_map=%5B%5D

I think the 'magnets' feature is waaay overdue, and awesome.

Not as excited about the 'Trait zones', those could either be really cool, or really annoying.

I saw the forge revel footage from RTX earlier in the year.  It is looking really good the new features, and I love the prospect of creating low-gravity zones (Republic Commando Arena A9 remake, anyone? ;) ).

Yesterday there was a blog on the Halo Waypoint site talking about progression in Halo 4, and much more CoD-esque now.  You can make your own loadouts and reaching the max level is no longer the end as you choose 'Specialisations' to go into.  The max basic level is 50, and once you max out each specialisation (with 10 levels in each) you hit level 130.

It looks like unlocks are broken into equipment and cosmetic categories, with all equipment unlocked by level 26 (although its said you won't be able to afford it all until level 50) and armour parts, weapon skins, emblems, etc unlocked through normal ranks and specialisations.

Finally, Forward Unto Dawn part 2 is now available.
