Celebration Europe II
« on: August 27, 2012, 09:18:11 AM »
It was just announced that next July Celebration will return to Europe in Essen, Germany, right in time for the 30th anniversary of Return of the Jedi.

I'm really excited as its obviously much closer and easier for me to get to then the ones in the US.  I may be able to afford to do one or 2 days, especially as one of the local budget airlines flies to the closest airport to the convention, but I don't know for sure yet (more so as it'll be so close to the end of my degree studies).  Plus I want to go in my CP costume and I don't know if I'll have that done in time.

Is anyone else thinking of making the trip over yet?

I will look into it, but it is highly unlikely I will be able to afford it.   :(

My parents have been talking about the family going to Europe one of these summers.

So perhaps Celebration can be added to the agenda?

Thanks to a bit of generosity from my family it looks like I'll be going now.  I've booked my flights now and as the convention's ticket prices aren't as high as I thought I'm willing to stretch to a 3-day pass (especially as I'll have to sta y the entire weekend anyway due to the availability of flights).  All I will need now to sort out is accommodation.

Maybe I'll go to the Celebration as well. Does anyone know what you could actually do there??

Welcome back, IC!

I'm going to be going on all 3 days.  I'm hoping to have my animated Clone Pilot done by then.

100 days to go!

Having a little problem with my ravel arrangements as the airline cancelled my flight for "commercial reasons".  Already found a few alternatives so I'm still going to be going, its just none are as convenient for me as my original flight.
